The mission of the Children's Administration is first to protect abused and neglected children, to support the efforts of families to care for and parent their own children safely, and to provide quality care and permanent families for children in partnership with parents and kin, Tribes, foster parents and communities.
Eminent Media worked with FPAS in developing a custom website to aid in the support of the organizations goal, helping support foster parents in Eastern Washington.
Kim Boston of BCI financially supported the Foster Parent Association's new website. BCI was also instrumental in the design of recruitment materials with the new "You can too" logo used statewide.
The Jewelry Design Center designed the Adoption Pendent exclusively for all adoptive families who have opened their hearts to children waiting for permanent families. Jewelry Design Center donates a portion of every pendent sold to recruit & support adoptive families.
Sponsors the annual Christmas Party for Foster Families. The Foster Santa Breakfast has been sponsored by the League members and the community partners for 12 years. In 1996, they began serving pancakes and providing gifts for 80 foster children and their families. Last year they served breakfast to 697 children and family members and provided gifts and raffle prizes. Thank you Jr League of Spokane!
Teen Closet allows girls & boys in foster care to come into a store-like environment and “shop” for whatever clothes they liked - completely free of charge. If you are between 12 and 18, in foster care, we would love to invite you to Teen Closet. We want you to enjoy a shopping experience where you can choose from a wide variety of new and gently used clothing for free. You can visit Teen Closet every six months to restock your closet for the different seasons.
